How can I download quotes history to MT4?

In order to download quotes from the terminal you should:

1. Update the terminal. In order to do it download MetaTrader 4 from our web-site (build 205 or later) and install it over the older version. You will not be able to import the quotes via LiveUpdate.

2. Increase the maximum quantity of bars in MetaTrader 4 settings on the basis that one day in the History contains 1440 M1 bars: MT4 / Tools / Options / Charts / Max bars in history;

3. Go to the History Center in MetaTrader 4: MT4 / Tools / History Center;

4. Choose the instrument you are interested in (e.g. click EURUSD twice) and press Download.

As a result, MetaTrader 4 downloads the history of M1 quotes from our History Center and imports them to MT4 time-frames.

Note! Quotes history before 2004 is provided by MetaQuotes.

In order to download quotes from our web-site you should:

1. Go to our web-page Quote Base;

2. Download M1 data from our web-page to your computer in MT4 format (file M1_EURUSD.hst);

3. Increase the maximum quantity of bars in MT settings on the basis that one day in the History contains 1440 M1 bars: MT4 / Tools / Options / Charts / Max bars in the history);

4. Import the data with our Quote Base to MT: MT4 / Tools / History Center. Then choose Forex / EURUSD / 1 Minute / Import / Browse / Find the M1 file from the Quote Base (file name: M1_EURUSD.hst) / File Type: MetaQuotes files (*.hst) / Browse / The relevant quotes data must appear in the window «Import» / Ok / Close.
